COMPONENTS / MODULES

This device contains electronic components that are sensitive to

electrostatic discharge (ESD). Contact to electrostatically

charged persons or objects will endanger these components. In

the worst case, they will be immediately destroyed or will fail after

commissioning. Observe the requirements of EN 100 015 - 1 in

order to minimize the possibility of, or avoid, damage from

instantaneous electrostatic discharge. Also take care not to touch

components that are under supply voltage.

To ensure the devices function correctly, and have along

service life, please comply with the information in these

Operating Instructions, as well as the Applications Conditions and

the permissible values specified in the data sheets for the propor-

tional valves used, and the types 8623-2, 8624-2 or 8625-2

controller.

The quickstart foldout is a supplement to the Operating

Instructions. More detailed information is to be found on the

enclosed CD.

This family of miniature controllers, in combination with

proportional valves, serves to control

• Liquid flow in piping (Flow rate controller 8623)

• Pressure in liquids and (Pressure controller 8624)

flowing gases

• Controller with adjustable PI control behaviour

• Direct installation on the valve, thanks to compact design of

device

• Direct actuation of a proportional valve

• Scaling

• Setpoint specification via standard signal 4-20 mA

• Measurement of flow rate by means of a flow rate sensor with

frequency output (frequency proportional to flow rate)

• For flow rate sensors with frequency output of max. 625 Hz

• Programming and display control unit Type 8623-B

• Proportional control

• Measurement of the pressure by means of a pressure

transmitter with standard output signal

• Programming and display control unit Typ 8624-B

• Measurement of the temperature by means of a PT 100 sensor
